Use The Tools

Take a look at any tree that may be on your property.

Lets say our friend Joe has a tree that is 50 feet tall and the city came along and decided that the tree was unstable and needs to come down.

Rather than call the local tree service, Joe decides he’s going to take the tree down himself.

He decides that the branches need to come off first, so he constructs a branch trimmer and begins cutting them off.

Half way through the project his homemade branch trimmer snaps and repairing it takes an hour. During the branch trimming his trimmer falls apart 5 times before the job is complete.

As he is beginning the next phase of the project his next door neighbor, who is a professional tree trimmer stops by and offers his assistance.

Since he was able to get the branches down without his assistance he declines the offer.

Its now getting dark and the temperature is beginning to drop so he decide to start fresh the next day.

The next morning Joe stands in the yard looking at the tree. He realizes he needs to cut down the top half first.

Not having a ladder tall enough to get the job done he stands on the roof of the house and throws a rope over the highest point he can on the tree.

He pulls his truck over, and standing a ladder on the roof of the truck, he saws the tree almost through in the middle. He runs back to the roof and pulls the rope.

The tree snaps where he made the cut, and all seems well until it turns and falls into the bed of his truck, going through the bed, and the drive shaft.

I’m sure by now your beginning to get the moral of the story.

If Joe has a task to complete such as cutting down a tree, there are tools already available to finish the job correctly.

As you can see from the example in our story Joe tried to cut corners. Not only that but Joe had an expert offering assistance, even turning that down.

This would have saved him from having to replace his now demolished truck.

What does this have to do with Network Marketing, everything.

So many times, well educated, well meaning, caring, good people, with skills, talents, and lot of previous success in other industries, come into the MLM industry.

Having had success previously, they will take what they know and try to do things in this industry their own way.

Its not long before they find out what got them to where they were previously doesn’t work here.

Well, let me rephrase that. The success principals learned in life are very helpful when brought to the table of Network Marketing.

However, Network Marketing like our tree example, has its own set of tools, techniques, mind-sets, and processes unique to this industry.

As in our example save yourself time, energy, and money.

There are dozens of experts in your company, very willing and able to share the tools, expertise, and knowledge to get you down the road further and faster than doing it on your own.

Use the tools!
