Sweet Success

As a young child growing up in my parents' home, there were always plenty of desserts around. My mom was a baker, and a very good one.

There was always something good coming out of the oven, and we (all nine of us), would be waiting, so that we could eat it while piping hot!

Because baking was my mom's favorite hobby, she was always experimenting and coming up with all different kinds of flavors, especially since she knew she had us to gobble them up.

Chocolate, pineapple, carrot, coconut, fruit, german chocolate, sour cream pound, were some of our favorite cakes. Not to mention the cinnamon buns, yeast rolls, pies, and so much more.

I was so fascinated just watching and would spend countless hours in the kitchen with her. She would decide which cake to make and start by putting all of the ingredients on the table, being careful not to leave anything out.

One ingredient left out could mean disaster, which meant that cake would end up in the garbage. Needless to say, that happened quite a few times.

But more often than not, all of the ingredients would come together just perfectly to create a masterpiece, and oh, what Sweet Success.

By age 13, I too was baking cakes from scratch. Because I had watched my mom so many times, baking great cakes at such and early age was almost effortless; it was just so simple.

At first, I was afraid to try different flavors. She reassured me that if I used the same system, changing only a few things, that I could make any flavor cake I wanted to.

I became very successful at baking cakes because I had a good cake coach in my mom. Over the years, I've been able to apply some of those lessons learned at the kitchen table to the business world.

Just as I've learned with baking cakes, it's not about the flavor but the system. The same holds true in business, especially in MLMs.

With over 10 years experience in MLMs, I've learned that it's not about the company or the products. I've learned the hard way that it's all about the system and the team, that determines your success.

Just as I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my mom, a good cake coach, you'll need to spend countless hours perfecting your business skills too, with a good MLM Success Coach.

Sure, you will have some mishaps along the way. Don't dwell on the mistakes, instead use them as stepping stones. We trashed a lot of cakes on the quest for perfection, so trash your mistakes and move forward.
